I support leaders and organizations in strengthening people practices and leadership capability through practical, experience-based guidance.
Organizations work with me because I bring the perspective of both a senior HR practitioner and an educator—translating research, theory, and experience into practical guidance leaders can actually use.
I have spent my career advising executives and organizations in complex environments where decisions involve people, risk, culture, and long-term impact. My approach is grounded and thoughtful, focused on helping leaders make better decisions—not just comply with rules.
Clients value my ability to explain complex HR, leadership, and organizational issues in plain language, provide clear options, and support leaders as they navigate difficult people decisions with confidence and integrity.

I have spent my career working at the intersection of people, leadership, and organizational complexity. Across executive HR roles, advisory work, and teaching, I have seen how quickly well-intended decisions can break down when leaders lack context, clarity, or a trusted sounding board.
My work is grounded in the belief that HR, at its best, is not about enforcing rules—it is about helping leaders make thoughtful decisions that balance people, risk, culture, and long-term outcomes.

My background includes senior HR leadership roles, consulting, and teaching experience across gaming and hospitality, tribal government, healthcare, higher education, travel plaza operations, and housing services. These environments are often highly regulated, service-intensive, and culturally complex, requiring leaders to navigate competing priorities with care and judgment.
Working in these settings shaped how I think about HR and leadership. I have learned that effective people practices must be practical, clearly explained, and grounded in the realities leaders face—not just policy, theory, or best-practice language.

Over time, my role evolved from implementing HR programs to advising executives on how to think through complex people and organizational decisions. I approach HR as an advisory discipline—one that helps leaders understand options, anticipate consequences, and act with confidence.
Whether serving in a full-time executive role or supporting organizations through advisory engagements, my focus remains on translating complexity into clear, usable guidance.

Organizations and leaders work with me when they need thoughtful, evidence-informed support on people and leadership challenges. I draw on research, experience, and organizational context to help leaders evaluate alternatives, understand trade-offs, and choose approaches that fit their specific situation.
Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I provide structured options and practical recommendations tailored to the realities of the organization and the decision at hand.

I work best with leaders and organizations that value thoughtful decision-making, plain-language communication, and respect for complexity. My role is to bring clarity to ambiguous situations—helping leaders see issues more clearly, understand their choices, and take action with confidence.
I support organizations and executive leaders as they navigate complex people and organizational decisions. My work focuses on aligning HR strategy with organizational goals while accounting for culture, risk, regulation, and long-term impact.
Engagements often involve advising on workforce strategy, employee relations, organizational design, leadership practices, and the practical application of HR policy in real operating environments.
Leaders often face decisions that are not clearly right or wrong, but require judgment, context, and an understanding of trade-offs. I work alongside leaders to help them think through options, assess implications, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
This support may take the form of executive advising, leadership development conversations, or structured decision support during periods of change, growth, or complexity.
I design and deliver learning experiences that translate theory, research, and best practices into practical application. This includes leadership development, supervisor training, and HR capability building for teams.
My approach emphasizes adult learning principles, relevance to real work, and the ability to apply learning immediately—rather than abstract models or one-size-fits-all programs.
I help organizations evaluate HR and leadership initiatives using evidence, analytics, and ROI-based thinking. This includes clarifying intended outcomes, identifying meaningful measures, and connecting people investments to organizational value.
In addition to advisory work, I support HR teams in building their own capability to use measurement and analytics to inform decisions, prioritize initiatives, and demonstrate impact.
My work with organizations may take different forms depending on need, including executive roles, advisory engagements, project-based consulting, facilitation, and capability-building support.
Regardless of format, the focus remains the same: practical insight, sound judgment, and decisions informed by evidence and organizational context.
